Why Isn’t a Field on My Feedspace Form Working?

Last updated on June 18, 2026

Overview

A field on a Feedspace review form sometimes doesn’t work for reviewers, even though it appears to be set up correctly in the form editor. Common examples include a Country dropdown that doesn’t respond to input, a file upload that doesn’t accept files, or a required field that can be submitted empty. Most of the time this is caused by a browser extension on the reviewer’s side, a cached version of the form, or a mismatch between the field type and your plan’s features.

Check 1: Test in a clean browser session

Ask the reviewer to try the form in an incognito or private window, or in a different browser entirely. Ad blockers, form-filling extensions, and privacy tools can interfere with specific form fields. If the field works in incognito but not in the main browser, an extension is the cause. The reviewer should disable extensions on the browser they’re using and try again.

Check 2: Clear the form’s cached version

If you recently added or changed the field in the Feedspace form editor, visitors who have the old form cached in their browser may not see the updated version. Ask the reviewer to do a hard refresh: Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows or Command+Shift+R on Mac, then try again.

Check 3: Verify the field is saved and active in the form editor

Click Forms in the left sidebar, then click the pencil icon on your form to open the editor. Confirm the field appears in the list of active fields on the Capture Review tab, not in the unused or disabled section. If you added the field recently and saved the form, double-check that the save completed. See Why Won’t My Feedspace Form Save? if you’re unsure.

Check 4: Test the form yourself from the public URL

Open the public review form URL in a fresh browser session (not while logged in to Feedspace) and test the field yourself. If the field works for you but not for a specific reviewer, the issue is likely on their device or browser. If the field doesn’t work for you either, report it to support@feedspace.io with the field name and form URL.

If the field still doesn’t work

If the field consistently fails across browsers and devices, it may be a bug. Contact support@feedspace.io with the following information: the name of the field (e.g., Country), the form URL, your browser and operating system, and a description of what happens when you interact with the field. A screen recording is especially helpful for dropdowns and interactive fields.

What’s next

Once the field is working, check which fields are marked as required to make sure reviewers can’t skip important information. See How Do I Make Form Fields Required in Feedspace?

Common questions

Why doesn’t the Country field respond to input?

The Country field is a searchable dropdown. If it doesn’t open or accept typing, a browser extension that intercepts keyboard input (such as a text expander, password manager, or accessibility tool) is the most common cause. Test in incognito without extensions to confirm. If the field is broken in a clean browser session as well, report it to support@feedspace.io.
