Smart Redirection is one of Feedspace’s most powerful tools for turning happy reviewers into public advocates on Google, Trustpilot, and other platforms. Run through the checks below to confirm it is configured correctly and sending high-rating reviewers where you want them.
What You Can Do
- Automatically grow your public Google, Trustpilot, and Facebook review count
- Route your happiest customers to the platforms where their review matters most
- Protect your private channels by capturing lower ratings as internal feedback
- Increase your average star rating on platforms that directly influence purchase decisions
Check 1: Smart Redirection Is Not Enabled
- Open the form in the Feedspace form editor.
- Go to the Capture Review tab.
- In the Text Review section, make sure Allow Ratings is on and the Enable Smart Redirection toggle is turned on.
- Save the form.
Check 2: Rating Type Is Set to Like/Dislike
Smart Redirection works with Star Ratings and triggers when a reviewer selects 4 or 5 stars. To use Smart Redirection, the form’s rating type needs to be set to Star Rating. The Like/Dislike option is a binary choice that does not have a threshold, so it works independently of Smart Redirection.
Fix: In the Text Review section, change Rating Type from Like/Dislike to Star Rating.
Check 3: The Redirect URL Is Missing or Wrong
Smart Redirection needs a valid destination URL for each platform you want to redirect to. If the URL field is empty or contains a malformed link, the redirect will not work.
- Open the Smart Redirection settings in the form editor.
- Check that every enabled platform has a full, valid URL (starting with
https://).
- For Google Reviews, the URL should be your specific Google Business profile review link, not just
google.com.
- Save the form after correcting any URLs.
Check 4: Text Review Is Disabled
Smart Redirection is a setting inside the Text Review section. If Allow Text Review is toggled off, the Smart Redirection option is hidden and not active, even if it was configured previously.
Fix: Enable Allow Text Review in the Capture Review tab, then re-enable Enable Smart Redirection and save.
Check 5: Feature Is Not Available on Your Plan
Smart Redirection is available on Feedspace paid plans. If the toggle is locked, upgrading your plan unlocks it along with other powerful features for growing your public review presence.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Smart Redirection work for video or audio reviews?
No. Smart Redirection only applies to text reviews with star ratings. Video and audio submissions do not have a star rating threshold and are not affected by this setting.
At what star rating does redirection trigger?
