Screen recordings are a powerful testimonial format for software products, SaaS tools, and services where reviewers can walk through their experience live. Feedspace lets you add a Share Your Screen button to your review form with a single toggle, giving reviewers an easy way to record their screen directly in the browser without any additional software.
What You Can Do
- Let reviewers demonstrate your product in action instead of just describing it
- Collect walkthroughs, demos, and use-case recordings as authentic testimonials
- Give reviewers a familiar, low-effort format if they prefer showing over speaking
- Build a library of product-in-use recordings for sales, onboarding, and marketing
1. Open the Capture Review Tab
- Log in to Feedspace and go to Forms in the left sidebar.
- Open the form you want to edit.
- Click the Capture Review tab in the form editor.
2. Enable Allow Screen Recording
In the Media Review section, toggle on Allow Screen Recording. The Share Your Screen button will now appear on your review form alongside any other enabled recording options.
3. Set a Duration Limit (Optional)
Use the Media Duration dropdown to set a maximum recording length. This applies to all enabled recording types on the form including screen recordings. A 3 to 5 minute limit works well for most product walkthroughs.
4. Save the Form
Click Save. Reviewers will now see a Share Your Screen button on your form. When clicked, the browser will prompt them to select a screen, window, or tab to record.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does screen recording require any software to be installed?
No. Screen recording uses the browser’s built-in screen capture API. Reviewers only need a supported browser such as Chrome, Edge, or Firefox. No downloads or extensions are required.
Can reviewers record their camera alongside the screen?
Screen recording captures the screen only. To record both screen and camera, the reviewer would need to submit a separate video recording using the Record Video option on the same form.
Can I offer screen recording alongside other recording types?
Yes. You can enable any combination of Record Video, Share Your Screen, Record Audio, Write Your Experience, and Upload Video on the same form. Reviewers choose whichever format suits them best.
