Feedspace validates a few things before accepting a submission to protect the quality of the reviews you collect. If a reviewer is having trouble submitting, one of the checks below will resolve it quickly.
What You Can Do
- Ensure every willing reviewer successfully completes their testimonial
- Reduce drop-off caused by confusion over required fields or consent
- Maintain a smooth reviewer experience that reflects positively on your brand
- Quickly identify and fix the specific step where a reviewer is getting stuck
Check 1: A Required Field Is Empty
If you have marked any field as required (name, email, custom question, etc.) and the reviewer left it blank, the form highlights the empty field and guides the reviewer to complete it before continuing.
What reviewers see: A red border and validation message on the empty required field.
Fix for reviewers: Fill in all highlighted fields and click Submit again.
Fix for form owners: If the required field causes too much friction, go to the User Details tab in the form editor, find the field, and turn off the Required toggle.
Check 2: Consent Checkbox Is Not Checked
If you have enabled the consent field on your form, reviewers must check the consent checkbox before they can submit. If they miss it, the form reminds them to accept before their testimonial is submitted.
What reviewers see: A validation prompt asking them to check the consent box.
Fix for reviewers: Scroll down to find the consent checkbox, check it, and click Submit again.
Fix for form owners: If consent collection is no longer needed, go to the User Details tab and toggle off Collect Consent/Agreement.
Check 3: No Review Content Was Added
The form requires at least one piece of review content. If ratings are required, or the reviewer did not record a video or type any text, the form will not submit.
Fix for reviewers: Complete the main review step (rate, record, or write) before clicking Submit.
Fix for form owners: If too many things are marked as required, review your Capture Review settings and reduce mandatory items.
Check 4: The Form Is Paused
A paused form does not accept submissions. Reviewers will see a message that the form is temporarily unavailable.
Fix: Go to Forms in Feedspace and toggle the form from Paused to Active.
Check 5: All Media Types Are Disabled
If you have disabled video, audio, file upload, and text review at the same time, the form has no submission path. Feedspace requires at least one option to be enabled.
Fix: In the form editor under Capture Review, enable at least one review method and save.
