How Do I Add a Border to Review Cards on My Cross Slider Widget in Feedspace?
Overview
The Cross Slider widget displays your reviews one at a time with cross-directional slide transitions, bringing each review card into full focus before moving to the next. Because the layout places a single card at center stage during every transition, the visual boundary of that card carries significant weight. Adding a border to your review cards defines the card’s edges cleanly against any background, reinforces the card shape during the sliding motion, and gives visitors a crisp frame to focus on as each new review appears.
The Show Review Card Border toggle is found inside the Widget Color Customization section of the Design tab. When enabled, three sub-options become available: Border Thickness (1px to 12px), Border Radius (None to XX-Large for progressively rounded corners), and Border Color (a full color picker). Together these controls let you match the border precisely to your brand, whether you want a thin, sharp-edged outline or a thick, rounded frame with a custom accent color.
How to Add a Border to Review Cards on Your Cross Slider Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open the list of all widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Cross Slider Widget
Find the Cross Slider widget you want to update. Click the Edit button (or the pencil icon) next to that widget to open the widget editor.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for your Cross Slider widget.
Step 4: Locate the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups together the color and style controls for the review cards displayed in the Cross Slider.
Step 5: Enable the Show Review Card Border Toggle
Find the Show Review Card Border toggle and switch it on. The toggle will turn active and three additional sub-options will appear directly below it: Border Thickness, Border Radius, and Border Color.
Step 6: Set the Border Thickness
Use the Border Thickness control to choose how wide the border should be. The range is 1px (a very fine line) to 12px (a bold, prominent frame). A value between 1px and 3px suits minimal designs, while a higher value creates a more defined card boundary that stands out during the slide transition.
Step 7: Set the Border Radius
Use the Border Radius control to choose the corner style for the review card border. The options range from None (perfectly square corners) through progressively larger rounded presets up to XX-Large (heavily rounded corners). Choose a radius that matches the overall visual style of your widget and the page it appears on.
Step 8: Choose the Border Color
Click the Border Color picker to open the color selector. Choose any color that fits your brand palette. You can enter a hex code directly for precise matching. The preview will update in real time so you can judge how the border color looks against the card background and the widget backdrop.
Step 9: Save and Publish Your Changes
Once you are satisfied with the border settings, click Save to apply your changes. The updated Cross Slider widget will immediately reflect the new border style on any page where it is embedded.
