Overview
The Floating Cards widget displays your customer reviews as animated cards that float and drift gently across the screen, creating an eye-catching, dynamic presentation for visitors. Because each card moves independently against your page background, visual depth is essential: without enough contrast, cards can blend into the surface behind them and lose their impact.
The Show Review Card Shadow toggle, found in the Widget Color Customization section of the Design tab, adds a configurable drop shadow beneath each floating card. This lifts the cards off the background and reinforces the sense of motion, making the floating animation feel more three-dimensional and polished. Once the toggle is on, you can fine-tune three sub-options: Shadow Style (Blurred or Solid), Shadow Size (Small, Medium, Large, or X-Large), and Shadow Color using a color picker. Together these controls let you match the shadow to your brand palette and the overall weight of your page design.
How to Add a Shadow to Review Cards on Your Floating Cards Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open the list of all widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Floating Cards Widget
Find your Floating Cards widget in the list. Click the Edit button (or the widget name) to open the widget editor.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the settings panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for your Floating Cards widget.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all color and shadow controls for the review cards.
Step 5: Enable the Show Review Card Shadow Toggle
Locate the Show Review Card Shadow toggle and click it to turn it on. The toggle will switch to its active state and three additional sub-options will appear below it.
Step 6: Choose a Shadow Style
Under Shadow Style, select either Blurred or Solid. Blurred produces a soft, diffused shadow that suits lighter, more modern designs. Solid produces a hard-edged shadow with a graphic, high-contrast look that works well with bold color schemes.
Step 7: Set the Shadow Size
Under Shadow Size, choose from Small, Medium, Large, or X-Large. Smaller sizes add a subtle lift, while larger sizes create stronger depth and are useful when the widget floats over a busy or image-heavy background.
Step 8: Pick a Shadow Color
Click the Shadow Color color picker and choose a color that complements your card and page design. A dark neutral works for most pages, but you can also use a brand color to create a colored glow effect beneath each floating card.
Step 9: Save and Publish Your Widget
Once you are happy with your shadow settings, click Save (or Publish) to apply the changes. The shadow will appear on every review card as it floats across your embedded widget.
