Many Feedspace widgets move: a Carousel slides, a Strip Slider scrolls, and a Vertical Scroll runs like a news ticker. If you would rather your reviews sit still on the page, use the Masonry widget. It lays your selected reviews out in a brick-like grid, all visible at once, with no animation.
A static grid suits pages where visitors read rather than skim, such as a testimonials section on a services page, or any page where moving content would distract from what is around it.
Click Showcase in the left sidebar, then click Create New in the top right. If Feedspace asks whether you have a website, enter your site’s address and click Proceed to Create Widget, or click I don’t have a website to carry on.
In the Choose your showcase item dialog, click Create Embed Widget on the Embedded Widgets card.
In Choose your widget template, click Masonry (“Display reviews in a brick-like layout”). Feedspace creates the widget straight away and opens it in the editor on the Select Reviews tab.
Tick the checkbox on each review you want to show, or use Select All. Because Masonry shows everything at once, a focused selection of six to twelve reviews usually looks best on a page.
Click Save & Next to move to the Design tab, adjust colors, fonts and card borders if you want to, then click Save & Next again. The Embed tab opens with the code for your website.
Copy the embed code into the section of your site where the reviews should appear. If you want a whole page of reviews rather than a section, compare the Wall of Love page and the Masonry widget.
The editor has no option to change a widget’s type. Create a new Masonry widget with the same reviews, replace the embed code on your website with the new one, and delete the old widget once the new one is live.
