How Do I Display a Static, Non-Scrolling Widget in Feedspace?

Last updated on June 18, 2026

Overview

Most Feedspace widgets are animated, meaning reviews automatically scroll, slide, or cycle. If you have only a handful of reviews and you’d rather they sit still on the page rather than move, the Masonry widget is the right choice. It displays all your selected reviews at the same time in a static grid layout, no scrolling required.

Which widget types are static

Feedspace has two widget types that don’t auto-scroll:

  • Masonry: Shows reviews in a brick-like grid. All selected reviews are visible at once, in columns. This is the most common choice for a static display.
  • Avatar Group: Shows reviews in avatar card blocks. Also static, with a focus on profile pictures alongside the review text.

Both of these work well with small review counts because every review is visible without the customer having to wait or scroll.

How to create a Masonry widget

Step 1: Go to Widgets

Click Widgets in the left sidebar. Then click Create Widget.

Step 2: Choose the Masonry template

On the template picker screen, select Masonry from the list of widget types. The description reads “Display reviews in a brick-like layout.” Click it to start building.

Step 3: Select your reviews

In the Select Review tab, tick the checkbox next to each review you want to display. Because Masonry shows everything at once, a smaller selection (6 to 12 reviews) usually looks best on a page.

Step 4: Customize and save

Use the Design tab to adjust colors, fonts, card borders, and other style options. When you’re done, click Save and Next to get the embed code.

If you already have a scrolling widget and want to switch

You can’t change an existing widget’s type after it’s created. Instead, create a new Masonry widget, select the same reviews, and replace the embed code on your website with the new one. You can delete the old widget once the new one is working.

What’s next

Once the widget is embedded, see How to Use Custom CSS in Feedspace Widgets if you want to match the card styles to your site’s design. For a full-page static display of reviews, the Wall of Love page is another option to consider.

Common questions

Can I limit how many reviews the Masonry widget shows?

The widget displays all the reviews you have selected in the Select Review tab. To show fewer, simply deselect some reviews from that tab. There’s no separate max-count setting for the Masonry widget.

Will all reviews show in one view without scrolling the page?

The widget itself doesn’t scroll internally, but if you select more reviews than fit in the visible screen height, visitors will need to scroll the page normally to see them all. This is standard page behaviour, not the widget animating. Keep the review count manageable if you want everything visible above the fold.
