How Do I Enable Autoplay on My Avatar Slider Widget in Feedspace?

Last updated on June 12, 2026

Overview

The Avatar Slider widget presents each testimonial one at a time, placing the reviewer’s avatar front and centre alongside their review text. By default, visitors must click the navigation arrows or dots to move between testimonials. Enabling the Autoplay reviews toggle in the Widget Design Settings changes this behaviour so the slider advances through each testimonial on its own, without any visitor interaction.

Because the Avatar Slider focuses attention on a single reviewer at a time, autoplay creates a natural rhythm that surfaces more of your testimonials to every visitor, even those who never click. Once autoplay is on, a Speed slider appears with four settings: Delayed, Slow, Medium, and Fast. This lets you match the rotation pace to your page’s content density, giving visitors enough time to read each full testimonial before the next one appears.

How to Enable Autoplay on Your Avatar Slider Widget

Step 1: Open the Widgets Section

Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left sidebar, click Widgets to open your list of saved widgets.

Step 2: Edit Your Avatar Slider Widget

Find the Avatar Slider widget you want to update. Click the Edit icon (pencil) next to it to open the widget editor.

Step 3: Go to the Design Tab

Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual and behaviour settings for your Avatar Slider widget.

Step 4: Find the Widget Design Settings Section

Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Design Settings section. This section contains display and interaction controls specific to the Avatar Slider layout.

Step 5: Enable the Autoplay Reviews Toggle

Locate the Autoplay reviews toggle and switch it on. The toggle will highlight to confirm autoplay is active. Once enabled, a Speed slider appears directly below the toggle.

Step 6: Set the Autoplay Speed

Drag the Speed slider to your preferred rotation pace. The available options are:

  • Delayed: the longest pause between testimonials, giving visitors extra reading time.
  • Slow: a comfortable pace suited to longer testimonial text.
  • Medium: a balanced default speed for most use cases.
  • Fast: the shortest interval, best for brief testimonials on high-energy pages.

Choose the speed that allows a typical visitor enough time to read each testimonial fully before the slider advances.

Step 7: Save and Publish Your Changes

Click Save to apply your changes. Your Avatar Slider widget will now rotate through testimonials automatically at the speed you selected. Copy the embed code or refresh any page where the widget is already embedded to see the autoplay behaviour live.

What You Can Do Next

  • Add navigation arrows to your Avatar Slider so visitors can still skip ahead or go back while autoplay is running.
  • Adjust the number of testimonials included in the slider to control how long a full autoplay cycle takes before repeating.
  • Experiment with the Speed setting after embedding on a real page to confirm visitors have enough time to read each testimonial at your chosen pace.
  • Explore other design options in the Widget Design Settings tab, such as background colour and avatar size, to further tailor the Avatar Slider’s appearance.
