Overview
The Strip Slider widget displays your review cards in a compact horizontal strip that scrolls continuously across the page, giving visitors a dynamic, always-moving showcase of testimonials. Because the strip sits flush against your page content with minimal vertical height, the visual contrast between the widget and your page background has a strong impact on readability and style cohesion.
The Dark Mode toggle, found in the Widget Color Customization section of the Design tab, switches the entire Strip Slider to a dark background theme. When enabled, Feedspace automatically adjusts the card backgrounds, text colors, star ratings, and reviewer details so every element remains legible against the dark surface. This makes the Strip Slider a natural fit for dark-themed websites or sections of a page with a dark hero area, without requiring any manual color adjustments to individual elements.
How to Enable Dark Mode for Your Strip Slider Widget
Step 1: Open the Widgets Section
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation, click Widgets to open the list of all widgets you have created.
Step 2: Edit Your Strip Slider Widget
Locate the Strip Slider widget you want to update. Click the Edit button (or the pencil icon) next to that widget to open the widget editor.
Step 3: Go to the Design Tab
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual customization options for your Strip Slider, including layout, typography, and color settings.
Step 4: Find the Widget Color Customization Section
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Color Customization section. This section groups all color-related controls for the strip, including background and text options.
Step 5: Enable the Dark Mode Toggle
Inside the Widget Color Customization section, locate the Dark Mode toggle and switch it on. The preview of your Strip Slider will immediately update to display a dark background, with card colors and all text automatically adjusted to maintain clear contrast and readability throughout the scrolling strip.
Step 6: Save Your Changes
Once you are satisfied with how the dark theme looks in the preview, click Save to apply the changes. Your Strip Slider will now render in Dark Mode wherever it is embedded on your website.
What You Can Do Next
- Adjust the card background color manually to use a custom dark shade instead of the default, using the card background color option in the same Widget Color Customization section.
- Copy the updated embed code from the widget editor and replace the existing snippet on your website so the dark-themed Strip Slider goes live immediately.
- Preview the Strip Slider on a dark-background page section to confirm that the automatically adjusted text and card colors provide sufficient contrast for all visitors.
- Explore other design options in the Design tab, such as scroll speed and card spacing, to fine-tune how the dark-themed strip flows across your page.
