The Horizontal Scroll widget displays your review cards in a continuously looping ticker that scrolls across the page. Because every card moves at the same pace, a card containing a very long review stretches much wider than the others, creating an uneven, hard-to-read strip that disrupts the visual flow of the whole ticker.
The Shorten Long Reviews toggle, found in the Widget Content Customization section of the Design tab, solves this by truncating lengthy review text after a few lines and replacing the rest with a “read more” link. Visitors can click that link to expand the full review inline without leaving the page. The result is a uniform, compact ticker where every card stays a consistent size, the scroll stays smooth, and your page layout remains clean no matter how long any individual review is.
Log in to your Feedspace account. In the left-hand navigation menu, click Widgets to open your list of saved widgets.
Find your Horizontal Scroll widget in the list. Click the Edit button (or the pencil icon) next to it to open the widget editor.
Inside the widget editor, click the Design tab at the top of the panel. This tab contains all visual and layout options for your widget, including content customization settings.
Scroll down within the Design tab until you reach the Widget Content Customization section. This section groups all options that control what review content is shown and how it is presented inside each card.
Find the Shorten Long Reviews toggle and switch it on. Once enabled, any review card whose text exceeds the display limit will be truncated with a “read more” link. Visitors can click that link to expand the full review text directly within the scrolling ticker.
Click Save to apply your changes. Use the live preview to confirm that long review cards are now truncated and that the ticker scrolls at a consistent, even pace across all cards. If the result looks good, your embedded widget on any live page will update automatically.
