Why Is My Custom Domain Page Not Loading in Feedspace?

Overview

After your custom domain passes verification in Feedspace, you might find that visiting the domain in a browser still shows an error, a blank page, or the default Feedspace URL instead of your content. This is normal for a few minutes after verification and usually clears on its own. If it persists, a small number of causes are worth checking.

Step 1: Check the domain status in Feedspace

Go to Settings and open Domain. On Step 3 of the setup timeline, you’ll see a status badge next to your domain name:

• Live (green): Feedspace has activated the domain and SSL is ready. Move to Step 2 below.
• Pending (yellow): Feedspace is still activating SSL for your domain. This typically takes a few minutes. Wait a short time and refresh the Feedspace settings page. Do not remove or re-add the domain during this process.

Step 2: Do a hard refresh on your browser

Once the status shows Live, clear your browser’s cached version of the domain before testing. Press Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows or Command+Shift+R on Mac to force a fresh load. If you’re using Chrome, you can also open DevTools (F12), right-click the refresh button, and choose Empty Cache and Hard Reload.

Step 3: Confirm you’re using the exact subdomain you registered

The custom domain must match exactly what you entered in Feedspace. If you registered reviews.yoursite.com, that is the URL to visit. Typing www.reviews.yoursite.com or yoursite.com/reviews will not work. Copy the domain from the Feedspace settings card and paste it directly into your browser’s address bar to eliminate any typos.

Step 4: Test from a different network or device

DNS changes can take different amounts of time to reach different networks. If the page loads on a phone using mobile data but not on your office Wi-Fi, your local network’s DNS resolver hasn’t updated yet. This typically resolves on its own within an hour. You can also try flushing your local DNS cache:

• Windows: open Command Prompt and run ipconfig /flushdns
• Mac: open Terminal and run sudo dscacheutil -flushcache; sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder
