How Do I Edit an Email in My Feedspace Automation Sequence?

Last updated on June 11, 2026

Each email in your Feedspace automation sequence has its own subject line, body, and call-to-action button that you can edit independently. Clicking Edit on an email card opens a slide-over panel where you write your message, insert personalisation variables, and customise the review button before saving.

What You Can Do

  • Write a personalised subject line and body for each email in your sequence
  • Insert customer name, workspace name, and form link variables from the editor toolbar
  • Set the CTA button label and pick a custom colour to match your brand
  • Toggle the Feedspace signature on or off per individual email

1. Open the Email Edit Panel

  • Log in to Feedspace and go to Forms in the left sidebar.
  • Open the form and click the Automation tab.
  • Expand the email card and click Edit. A slide-over panel opens on the right.

2. Write the Subject Line

Enter the email subject in the Subject field. You can use personalisation variables directly in the subject — for example: Quick favour, {{name}}?. Keep it short and personal for the best open rates.

3. Write the Email Body

The body uses a rich text editor with bold, italic, underline, links, bullet and numbered lists. Use the Variables button in the toolbar to insert personalisation tokens:

  • {{name}}: replaced with the customer’s name at send time
  • {{workspace_name}}: replaced with your workspace name
  • {{form_link}}: replaced with the direct URL to your review form (marked as required)

4. Configure the CTA Button

In the CTA section below the body editor:

  • Label: The text on the review button (1 to 100 characters, required). For example: “Share Your Experience”.
  • Colour: Pick a hex colour for the button background using the colour picker.

5. Toggle the Signature

Use the Signature toggle to show or hide the “Sent with Feedspace” footer. Turning it off gives the email a fully branded appearance. Removing the signature requires a Professional or Business plan.

6. Save Your Changes

Click Save in the edit panel. Changes are held locally in the panel until you save — closing the panel without saving discards all edits. After saving the panel, click Save Draft on the main Automation tab to persist the full automation state.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I edit emails while the automation is active?

Pause the automation first, then edit and save. Reactivate when done. The Save Draft and Activate buttons are disabled while an edit panel is open to prevent conflicts.

Can I have different subjects and bodies for each email in the sequence?

Yes. Every email card in the sequence has a completely independent subject, body, CTA button, and signature setting. Open the Edit panel on each card individually to configure them.
