The Automation tab turns your review form into a self-running testimonial collection engine. Instead of manually following up with customers, you build a timed email sequence once and Feedspace handles every send automatically. Add your customer list, write your emails, and activate. The rest runs without you.
What You Can Do
- Automatically follow up with customers days after they are added to your list
- Send a series of personalised review request emails without any manual effort
- Use your own domain and brand by connecting a custom email sender
- Track opens, sends, and reviews collected directly from the Automation tab
Getting Started
When you first open the Automation tab on a form, you will see the Ask for reviews automatically screen. Click Set up automation to begin. Here is how it works:
- Add your first email: pick when to send it and what it says.
- Add follow-ups if you want. Each one has its own timing.
- Activate. Feedspace will email customers who have not reviewed yet.
Feedspace emails people on your My Customers list. If you have not added any customers yet, click Add customers on the empty state screen to get started.
The Three Sections
1. Email Sequence
Build a series of timed emails that go out automatically. Each email has its own send delay (in days), subject line, body with personalisation variables, CTA button, and a send-test option. Click Add second email to add a follow-up. Save the draft first before sending a test to your own email.
2. Who Should We Email?
This section defines your recipient list. Add customers manually, upload a CSV, use a webhook, or connect an integration. Feedspace emails only customers who have not yet submitted a review.
3. Who’s it from?
By default, emails are sent from reviews@feedspace.co and your workspace name appears in the customer’s inbox. On a paid plan you can select Send from my own email or domain to route emails through your own SMTP server or Amazon SES account. You can also set a reply-to address so customer replies go directly to you.
Draft and Active States
Every automation starts in Draft mode so you can configure it safely before it goes live. When you are ready, click Activate to start sending. You can Pause an active automation at any time without losing your setup, and resume it later.
Common Questions
How is this different from the Zapier or Pabbly Connect integration?
The Automation tab is Feedspace’s built-in email follow-up tool, designed specifically for sending review request sequences to your customer list. The sidebar Automation section (Zapier, Pabbly Connect, Make) connects Feedspace to external apps and triggers workflows, for example sending a Slack message when a new testimonial arrives.
Can I run more than one automation per form?
Each form supports one automation. To run different sequences for different audiences, create a separate form for each segment and set up an automation on each one.
