How Does Review Request Automation Work in Feedspace?

Last updated on June 15, 2026

Overview

Feedspace automation sends a series of review request emails to your customers automatically, on your schedule. You set it up once and Feedspace handles every send, follow-up, and stop without any manual effort. The whole flow works in three steps.

Step 1: A Customer Joins Your List

Before any emails can go out, a customer’s email address needs to be in Feedspace. Customers can be added in three ways:

  • CSV upload: Export your customer list from any tool and import it into Feedspace using the Import from CSV option.
  • API push: Push customer data directly into Feedspace from your own system or a third-party integration like Zapier, Make, or a webhook.
  • Automatically when they leave a review: If a customer submits a review through your Feedspace form and their email is captured, they are added to your customer list automatically.

Step 2: You Set Up an Automation on a Form

Go to the Automation tab inside any of your review forms and configure your email sequence. You decide:

  • How often to send: For example, send the first email 7 days after a customer is added, then a follow-up every 7 days.
  • How many emails to send: Set the maximum number of emails in the sequence, for example 3 emails total.
  • What each email says: Write the subject line and body for each email in the sequence, with personalisation variables for the customer’s name.

When your sequence is ready, click Activate to go live. You can pause or edit at any time without losing your setup.

Step 3: Feedspace Sends the Emails for You

Once activated, Feedspace takes over:

  • The first email goes out at the next scheduled send time for each customer.
  • If the customer does not leave a review, Feedspace sends the next follow-up email according to your schedule.
  • Feedspace stops sending the moment the customer leaves a review, unsubscribes, or you hit the email limit you set.

For example, if you set a 7-day interval with 3 emails maximum: Day 7 sends Email 1, Day 14 sends Email 2, and if the customer leaves a review on Day 17, Feedspace stops immediately and does not send Email 3.

You Are Always in Control

Feedspace never emails someone who has already reviewed or unsubscribed. You can pause the automation, edit the email sequence, or change the timing at any point without losing your customer list or configuration. Changes take effect on the next scheduled send.

Common Questions

Does Feedspace email every customer in my workspace?

No. Automation is set up per form. Feedspace only emails customers who are enrolled in the automation for that specific form. A customer can be on your workspace Customers list without being enrolled in any automation.

What if a customer is on my list but already left a review?

Feedspace tracks review submissions and automatically skips customers who have already reviewed through that form. No duplicate requests are sent to existing reviewers.

What You Can Do Next

  • Open the Automation tab on one of your review forms and click Set up automation to get started.
